The Beat Tour 2025

Beat in Tokyo

On September first the band had a memorable show – at Tokyo’s iconic Budokan.

Tokyo is suffering with a major heat wave, so I didn’t mind that, with our very short visit here, I hardly got outdoors – van dropped me off in parking basements of both the hotel and the venue.

Backstage we revelled in being together again, even for a single show. It was back in March that we last toured.

We’ve got a live album and box set coming out, and have just met up in L.A. to do some promo videos for that. But, yeah, let’s do some PLAYING!

Soundchecks… they never change!

Okay, folks are coming in now…

You can see the unique 8 sided architecture of the building.

I’d say we’re more than ready…

Seeing that photo of Danny playing the start of “Sheltering Sky” reminds me… all summer I’ve been going through all my (thousands of) photos of the BEAT tours in the last year, choosing the best to put out in book form. I’ll call it The Book of BEAT, and it should be done in a week or two - (After I add this photo of Danny!) I’ll notify on socials when it’s ready to pre-order.

As always, to see a larger version of a photo here (maybe find yourself in the audience,) click on it, then single click again.

A special show for all of us, and hopefully the audience too.
