In Reading, PA for our show at the Santander Performing Arts Center.
After soundcheck, downstairs to our dressing rooms - where there’s often work to do
Not the loveliest of backstage areas…
though the directions on the floor are a nice touch
and I can always amuse myself by taking self portraits in the dressing room
It’s time…
All the songs went particularly well tonight, and at intermission, here’s what a band looks like when things are sounding great
we start the second set with Waiting Man, a song that begins with just the drums
and that, quite ironically, leaves Adrian, who wrote the piece, as the waiting man himself, since he goes on second, to join Danny at the drums
always fun when, during the bows, Danny tosses out some drum sticks
and I briefly found myself wondering, what if nobody tried to catch the stick, and it just tumbled to the floor where people stared at it…
But, no, that’s not what happens!
A wonderful show, probably our most refined one.
Headed aftershow for Cleveland, where we’ll enjoy a day off, then do our show there on Friday.
More soon.
