Highland, CA is the site of the last show of our tour, at the Yaamava’ Theater.
As you’d imagine, there’s a lot going on aside from playing the show - packing the gear is different when we’re each heading home. And the management team has come to watch and celebrate the show.
It’s not the last show for the band - there will be some more next year (we’ve just announced the Santiago Chile one in May, but can’t announce others until they’re confirmed, so, sorry, no tips yet on where we’ll tour.)
And this road diary update, (the 67th of the tour!) won’t be the last one… I’ll spend the next few days on a “summing it up” page with my favorite photos from the tour.
I guess the most distinctive feature of this venue is the backstage cymbals…
Soundcheck goes pretty quickly now… well, yeah, after 63 of them.
We hastily assemble everyone onstage for a group photo
Backstage again, how can I resist an attempt at ‘self portrait in cymbal’
Photographer Mike Skillsky, who’s been at a lot of our shows, caught me being me…
A.J.Chippero is here tonight - when not making great videos for my album pieces, he’s doing socials and media for the tour
In dressing room, a last ‘self portrait’ of the tour
Well, wait a minute, when I did crew portraits for the Team Page, I processed them quite a bit, and as you’d imagine, had a few comments from the crew. So, to be fair, I’ll process myself too.
Finally, the show:
It’s been a wonderful tour, with a great team doing the shows and on the bus, and with super audiences sharing the fun.
More soon, in the sense that I’ll put together one more tour page, in a few days.
