At the Hampton Beach Casino, and there’s a lot that’s different about this venue. The other guys have all played here before, but I haven’t, and the widespread audience seems not well designed for seeing everyone on stage. (I’m especially concerned that lots of people out to my left will only see me during the show!)
Intermission… we’re backstage again
and we hear that there’s a problem with some of the guitar gear
so we wait while it’s being sorted out. But… a lot of time went by, and still they couldn’t sort it out - which meant we had to consider changing the set to avoid the pieces which required the non-working effects (I’m not sure which.)
After what seemed like an endless wait, we headed back onstage
and, whew, everything was working fine! So we were able to play the regular second set. Very relieved.
Great show, great audience.
As usual the bus will leave late at night for the next venue, but this time is a bit different - the band will get a ride back to Boston, stay overnight in not-the-bus, and tomw fly to Halifax for our show the next day.
More soon.
