Lots to show and tell from this show.
Headed to the famous O2 Arena, for our show tonight. As we did a few years back, we’ve planned a boat trip on the Thames River, the venue being right on the river, though far from where we’re staying.
Like Peter, I did a little video from the boat.
On the boat; Tom Cawley, who’d played piano on some of Peter’s new tracks. I didn’t know before, but he’ll be sitting in tonight on “Playing for Time”
Soundcheck; and it seems to be “Manu Day” today…
Hot outside today, but they’ve got the A/C cranked in here
and, ready to play
The campfire prop onstage for the first pieces contains a real fire, though a small one… here’s where it gets started
Michele’s made some last minute adjustments on stage
After intermission, going back on,
That picture reminds me of another one, taken long ago… I don’t mention it often but I’ve released a series of some of my favorite photos I’ve taken of Peter… This one is of him, about to fall back into the audience in “Lay Your Hands On Me”.
If you’re interested, here’s a link to that: the PG photo collection
Back to today, and In Your Eyes
Really good show for us, and the audience seemed to enjoy it too.
Afterwards, you guessed it… a ‘runner’ offstage, out to a waiting boat
where we had a very special, and fitting goodbye to the London show, Union Jack flying as we sail through the heart of the city.
More soon.
