Antwerp, Belgium - we’re here on a quick turnaround having played Amsterdam last night. The venue is Sportpaleis, and unlike last night, I’ve got both cameras working properly.
At the start the show, after Peter explains a little about it, he goes to centerstage where there’s a little panspermia reenactment (when do you hear that about a rock show!) A light comes down from above and he uses it to light the campfire, representing, I think, life coming to earth long ago.
We’ve referred to the light as Tinkerbell… but one night after he let it go, it smacked him in the head! I didn’t see that, but the bang from his mic was pretty loud. Anyway, ever since then it’s been a more interesting encounter. I don’t have a good view, but here are a few pics
Then we join Peter for a few songs gathered around the fire. Lately he’s been introducing us while there - gives me a minute to grab some shots
A very cool show. We rushed off in vans, stayed in Brussels so we could easily catch a flight the next day.
I’ve fallen behind in stories for the page… well, being busy is a good thing!
Here’s a haiku
When musicians tour
they travel in herds like sheep
but onstage they roar
