I didn’t climb up to the high seats for this shot… it was on a monitor backstage.

People have asked what technology Peter is using when, in “Darkness” his image is projected in distorted ways, and then in “Love Can Heal” he paints with a wand like device on the screen between him and the audience.

Both involve infrared technology. He’s got embedded receivers in his stage clothes (so do we,) and his ‘paint brush’ device can transmit infrared where he points it, with receivers in the screen. Also, the days of a ‘follow spot operator’ spending the whole show sitting above us aiming spotlights, are over now, with spots automatically finding us when wanted, and following wherever we and Peter move.

So, short answer, yes, he is painting these color overlays onto the art covered screen.
