The symmetry is sweet; 25 years after King Crimson formed in 1969, the new “double trio” incarnation began it’s performing life with a series of shows in Buenos Aires, in October 1994.
Now, exactly 25 years later, we’re finally back to play two concerts, not at the Prix D’Ami or Teatro Broadway, but a large venue called Luna Park.
Setlist and pictures from the first day, Oct 8th.
After soundcheck, I popped back out to see Robert speaking to the Royal Package attendees
The venue is wide, so I’ve stitched some photos together to show most of the audience. Click on any picture for a larger version.
A rousing reception, as we had back in the 90’s. It’s great to be back with the band.
Day 2, some familiar scenes, but quite a different setlist:
About to go on, I found an opening in the curtain behind stage… caught a glimpse of the audience
It was a wonderful, long overdue visit to a great city for our music.
The 50th anniversary tour is just about ended. We’ll fly to Santiago, Chile for what I think are the 50th and 51st shows of this year’s tour.
And, coming soon after that I’ll have a gallery page of my favorite pics from the tour.
