Tonight’s show is in Gardone Riviera, the Festival del Vittoriale, and the surroundings are exceptional.
Have to share a few shots from the venue, as we prep for soundcheck.
Behind the sound desk, the museum-like building… to me it looks a little like an Escher design!
At soundcheck, it’s very hot, but they’ve again brought out little canopies for us
And, soon enough, it’s cooled down a bit, and we’re ready to go
As we went onstage for the second set, I saw the moon rising behind the stage, almost dark red in color. Two thoughts hit me: a) that means Peter Gabriel will be releasing another track tonight… have to go online and hear it later. And b) boy, a photo of Danny with that moon behind him would be pretty special!
Now, to forget that stuff and play the show! Starts off with just Danny on the electric kit…
Hey, there it is!
Headed out for our encores
A wonderful night for everyone, as you can see from the pics.
Next we’ll head for Pompeii, and our show at the famed Anfiteatro there.
More soon.
p.s. It’s the next day now, and I got to hear Peter Gabriel’s new track, which is great of course.
Ironically it’s name is… I Belong to the Sky
